2011 Grand Marshal: Dave Levacy
The Millersport Lions Club was honored to have Dave Levacy, the owner of the Buckeye Lake Marina in Millersport serve as the 2011 Grand Marshal. Dave was recognized for his longtime and generous support for the Sweet Corn Festival, his active involvement in our thriving business community, his generosity to numerous charitable organizations and his love and promotion of Buckeye Lake and Millersport. He was accompanied on the Commodore Bank float by his wife Ann and grandchildren Allison and Michael.
Units: Approximately 150
Participation: Pre-festival registration, INVITATION ONLY.
Description: The Millersport parade is an annual Event to open the Sweet Corn Festival starts at Millersport High School and travels north on Lancaster Street in Millersport and turns east onto Chautauqua Boulevard finishing on the Lions Community Park in front of the Main Entertainment Pavilion. Featuring 16 High School Bands and a variety of other units.

Queen and Court
2011 Queen Jordan Johnston - (Fairfield Union)
Jordan is the daughter of Donna Kay Heller of Rushville, Ohio. She attends Fairfield Union High School where she is active in the Fairfield Union FFA Chapter, Key Club, Teen Institute, Quest, track & field, and cheerleading. Jordan serves on the Student Council and she has been Class Secretary the past three years. She has been on the All “A” Honor Roll for the past three years and has received her Academic Letters. She enjoys volunteering for food drives, serving meals at Foundation Dinners, helping with the Salvation Army bell-ringing, assisting at the local food pantry, participating in the Annual Heart Walk, teaching at Vacation Bible School and The Kids’ Camp. Jordan plans to attend Mount Carmel or The Ohio State University Medical Centers in the fall of 2012 to become a Pediatric Oncology Nurse

2011 First Runner-Up Hannah Jones - (Fisher Catholic)
Hannah is the daughter of Kevin and Rachel Jones of Lancaster, Ohio. She attends William V. Fisher Catholic High School where she is active in the Marching Band, Cross Country, Pro-Life Club, Rosary Club, Prom Committee Leader, National Honor Society and serves as the Band Librarian. She is an Honor Roll student. Hannah serves her community as a member of the Shooting Stars, an altar server at her church, and is active with the Teen Alliance at Fairfield Medical Center. Hannah plans to attend college in the fall of 2012 to become a physical therapist.
2011 Second Runner-Up Blaire Warner - (Johnstown-Monroe)
Blaire is the daughter of Brian and Beth Warner of Johnstown, Ohio. She attends Johnstown-Monroe High School where she is active in the Big Red Marching Band as Squad Leader and Dance Commander, the National Honor Society, Student Council, Johnnie Pride Club, Chorale (show choir), Double Q (elite show choir), school musicals, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She a member of Buttons & Bakers 4-H Club, Steer Pool, involved in her church youth group and youth choir, raising funds and awareness for Breast cancer and childhood heart diseases. Blaire plans to attend college to study medicine in the fall of 2012

2011 SWEET CORN FESTIVAL Queen & Court Rules:
Takes place Thursday, September 1st, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. on the Main Entertainment Pavilion. Each of the 18 area high schools select a young lady to represent them in our pageant. These young ladies participate in our Wednesday Grand Parade along with their high school band. On Thursday of our festival, they begin their path through the judging process with closed doors individual interviews beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Lion's Club house. These interviews are conducted by 5 judges from outside the geographical area of these 18 high schools. Neither the judges nor the young ladies know who the other group is until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday of the festival. Following the closed door interview and the group walk through, the young ladies are then escorted onto the Main Entertainment Stage for public interview one at a time while continuing to be observed by the judges. following the completion of the on stage interviews, the judges retire to the Club House to tally their score sheets and determine our Queen, 1st and 2nd Runners Up.
The judging is based on 20% Activities, 15% Interview Questions, 15% Personality, 20% Speaking Ability, 15% Stage Presence, and 15% Overall Appearance.
